Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience driving various types of trucks but experience with 26 foot straight truck is required. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently across designated routes while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
Operate and drive 26 foot straight truck.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while considering traffic conditions.
Load and unload freight primarily with pallet jack, dock-to-dock, ensuring proper handling of goods.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding commercial driving.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during transport.
Experience
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of logistics and freight handling.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to truck driving and freight transportation.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
