Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver and take on an energetic, vital role in delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. In this position, you will operate a box truck, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties
- Safely operate a box truck, including refrigerated trailers, along designated OTR routes, ensuring on-time deliveries and pickups
- Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, maintaining cargo integrity and safety standards
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to optimize delivery routes and meet schedule commitments
- Transport automobile parts, hazardous materials, or other specialized freight while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations
- Secure loads properly on flatbeds or tankers as required, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations for dangerous goods
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the tractor-trailer or box truck to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations.
- Ability to manually handle cargo safely during load & unload processes
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures and safety protocols for dangerous goods
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service
