Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and excellent driving skills. Candidates should be experienced in operating various types of box trucks with liftgates. 8-12 deliveries per day in Bay Area and up to Sacramento
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive different types of box trucks (14, 20, 26FT)
- Load and unload freight securely while ensuring the integrity of the cargo.
- Use a pallet jack (electric) and load/unload safely using truck LiftGate.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo details as required by law.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, potential delays, or issues on the road.
- Ensure that all cargo is secured properly before departure to prevent damage during transit.
- Follow all company policies related to safety, compliance, and customer service.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Class C or Class A
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways is beneficial.
- Previous experience handling freight loading/unloading processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulations pertaining to truck driving, including hours of service and safety standards.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks such as dump trucks or tankers is desirable.
