Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for the strategic and operational procurement of Opex and Capex materials, with a focus on technical machine spare parts and service contracts from both local and international vendors. This role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, along with a thorough understanding of material specifications and quality standards.

The incumbent will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services, compliance with quality standards, and execution of procurement activities within approved timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

This position serves as a strategic enabler within the Supply Chain function, driving value creation through optimized sourcing strategies, supplier partnerships, and cost-effective procurement of technical materials and services.

The role will:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring the availability of high-quality materials while minimizing risk and cost.
  • Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships, fostering collaboration and innovation across local and international supplier networks.
  • Monitor and manage day-to-day procurement activities.
  • Source, evaluate, and procure goods, services, and materials required by the organization.
  • Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process efficiency without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including user departments, Finance, Legal, and Operations, to facilitate smooth procurement processes and proactively resolve issues.
  • Prepare and obtain approvals for procurement documentation, including RFQs, Purchase Orders, and vendor agreements.
  • Coordinate with clearing agents, freight forwarders, and port authorities to ensure the timely clearance of imported consignments.
  • Ensure procured materials and services comply with pharmaceutical quality standards and technical specifications.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • An MBA in Supply Chain Management or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in technical procurement within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international procurement practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • The ability to read, interpret, and understand technical material specifications and engineering service requirements.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
