You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end air import process while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, airline requirements, and company service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the complete air import shipment process from pre-alert through final delivery.
  • Receive and review shipping documents, including Air Waybills (AWBs), commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices.
  • Communicate with overseas offices, agents, airlines, truckers, customs brokers, and customers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Arrange cargo availability, customs clearance coordination, and final delivery.
  • Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve delays or service issues.
  • Prepare and process billing, vendor invoices, and customer invoicing accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure all files are maintained in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records within the transportation management system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to shipment inquiries and status updates.
  • Support compliance with TSA, CBP, and other applicable import regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to meet customer expectations and operational goals.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in air import freight forwarding.
  • Working knowledge of international air freight operations and import documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, and transportation providers.
  • Understanding of U.S. Customs import procedures and freight forwarding operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience using freight forwarding software or transportation management systems is preferred.
