Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will manage the company’s bills and ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, computer savvy, and has a strong understanding of accounting, payments, and purchases.
Responsibilities
- Reconciling credit card and bank statements
- Maintaining accurate freight carriers accounts
- Scheduling and executing outgoing disbursements while monitoring due dates to avoid late fees
- Answering vendor inquiries, investigating discrepancies, and resolving billing disputes in a professional manner
- Reconciling monthly vendor statements and assisting with month-end closing activities
- Collaborating with other departments
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of Excel and accounting software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Understanding of accounting principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
