Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating winch trucks, including flatbed and tankers to deliver freight to designated locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Duties
Operate trucks in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
Transport freight to various locations as scheduled, including route driving for timely deliveries.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling of equipment.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
Adhere to company policies regarding safety protocols and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated (e.g., flatbed, tanker).
Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route driving and freight handling.
Ability to operate different types of trucks including refrigerated trailers and dump trucks.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
