About the Role
Silver Trucking is hiring a Weekend After-Hours Dispatcher to support our U.S. operations team. You will be the primary point of contact for our drivers and customers while our main office is closed, keeping freight moving and resolving issues as they come up. This is a strong fit for someone who wants a steady part-time weekend schedule in transportation and logistics.
Schedule
Saturday and Sunday only. Two 12-hour shifts, 24 hours per weekend.
Bosnia Time:
Saturday 22:00 to Sunday 10:00
Sunday 22:00 to Monday 10:00
Central Time (USA):
Saturday 15:00 to Sunday 03:00
Sunday 15:00 to Monday 03:00
Responsibilities
- Monitor and communicate with drivers throughout the shift
- Handle after-hours breakdowns, delays, and emergencies
- Coordinate with customers, brokers, and dispatchers to keep deliveries on schedule
- Update dispatch software with load information and driver status
- Escalate to maintenance, roadside assistance, and management as needed
- Deliver professional customer service in line with company standards
Training
All training will take place Monday through Friday during normal business hours before you move to the weekend schedule.
- No dispatch experience: 4 weeks
- Prior dispatch experience: 2 weeks
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Strong computer skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
- Sound judgment and composure under pressure
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet home office
- Availability to complete weekday training before starting weekends
- Transportation or trucking experience preferred, not required
