Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires experience with various types of trucks, including roll-off, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of freight.
Responsibilities
Operate and drive different types of trucks, including roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers.
Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Follow designated routes for delivery while adhering to traffic regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery times, and vehicle maintenance.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
Ensure that freight is secured properly during transport to prevent damage.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
Familiarity with load unloading procedures and safety protocols.
Previous experience in route driving or as a delivery driver is a plus.
Knowledge of tanker operations is advantageous but not required.
Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
