Overview
We’re hiring! Kemin is seeking a Warehouser tojoin our teamin Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec. The primarypurposeof this position is to handle the inter-companyshipping and receivingof all packaged materials while maintaining all regulatory, quality, and safety standards. This includes, but is not limited to, storage of raw and finished goods (bulk and packaged), staging and loading of shipments, inventory transactions (such as location transfers and inter-company distribution orders), and filling trucks/trailers/containers.
All employees are expected to follow instructions, specific procedures and protocols, and adhere to the required measures to ensure the highest quality of product and a safework environment. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM.
Responsibilities
Follow all operating procedures and warehousing processes.
Pick simple orders for customers and/or assist with more complex orders.
Responsible for staging and loading all non-bulk shipments.
Perform timely and accurate inventory transactions.
Coordinate information between shipping/receiving and other departments within Kemin.
Wrap loads of finished goods.
Load/unload trucks, trailers, and containers (not including bulk tankers).
Handle hazardous materials in high concentration levels exercising extreme caution to ensure there are no accidents.
Ensure all items shipped or received meet quality standards (e.g. properly labeled bags, correct products, lot numbers, and quantities on a pallet, pallets properly stacked, damages, etc.) defined within regulatory and quality standards in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
Must adhere to all safety requirements.
May need to work with driver to ensure the shipment is loaded, balanced, sealed, and secured prior to transport, as applicable to Business Unit.
Qualifications
Educationand Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent with 0-3 years of applicable experience.
Forklift certified
Must be fluent in English and French
Knowledge of warehousing operations is essential.
Computer knowledge.
Ability to operate forklift and other support equipment used in warehousing onmaterial handlingequipment.
Must have a high level of dependability and good attendance.
Strong safety values.
Must be able to multi-task, haveeffective problem-solvingskills and good math skills.
Ability to use hand tools for normal preventativeequipment maintenanceand cleaning.
Must have good interpersonalcommunication.
Ability to analyze, inspect, and calculate orders.
Ability to follow specific protocol for loading/unloading.
Ability to read process flow charts and follow standard operating procedures.
Understanding of material safety requirements.
