Position Description:
- Inspect forklift operational status and report if any malfunctions are in the equipment before starting to operate.
- Load and unload merchandise from truck containers.
- Check proper consignation before unloading merchandise.
- Report any damages to merchandise by stamping packing lists.
- Write down required packing list information or other documentation for entry generation.
- Mark bundles for inspection purposes.
- Have vehicle driver sign shipping manifest.
- Make sure all dock doors are closed after finishing loads/unloads.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Experience in warehousing environment
- Forklift Driver experience
- Good math and PC skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Mathematical Skills
Basic Skills such as ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Language Skills
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 40lbs
· Ability to stand for long periods of time
· Ability to bend, kneel and squat
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,480.00 – $40,560.00 per year
