Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor collaborates with the management of all operations of the warehouse(s), rework, pickle & pepper receiving and shipping clerk; coordinate stock control and inventory system; manage the shipping, receiving, logistics and storing of all products and employees within the warehouse. Also responsible for the transportation needs for outgoing product; and is the direct line of communication for resolving disputes with customers and distribution centers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise, lead, plan, train and review the work of staff responsible for receiving and issuing warehouse materials, rework, pickle & pepper receiving, and maintaining an accurate inventory.
  • Create SOP’s for new warehouse functions with support from manager and leaders.
  • Ensure that SOP’s are being followed correctly and accurately.
  • Health & Safety compliance in accordance with company policy.
  • Supervise finished goods inventory with cycle counting and physical inventories maintaining accuracy in the computer systems.
  • Communicate & implement changes to all warehouse, pickle & pepper receiving and rework personnel.
  • Train assigned employees in their areas of work including warehousing methods, procedures and techniques.
  • Supervise the use, care and operation of warehouse and material handling equipment including fork-lifts.
  • Verify the work of assigned workers for accuracy, proper work methods, techniques and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
  • Oversee all warehousing to ensure that facilities are maintained; and that current standards and specifications are being followed.
  • Develop freight carrier and broker relationships for outbound finished good shipments including negotiating rates and issuing contracts.
  • Approve time-off and make timeclock adjustments for all warehouse personnel utilizing the payroll system.
  • Coordinate with employees to cover open shifts to ensure no disruption in operations.
  • Ensure that FIFO is being followed and flowing effectively.
  • Maintain warehouse cleaning schedule for warehouse personnel.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of ERP experience
  • 3-5 years of Warehouse experience
  • 3-5 years of Supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate work with team members.
  • Awareness of the safety and official procedures for handling goods and supplies.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet set targets and deadlines.
  • Ability to carry out instructions to completion.
  • Ability to manage temperament and employee conflicts.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Provides model behavior to demonstrate corporate values.
  • Able to perform troubleshooting to root cause.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Provide necessary papers allowing holder to work legally in the United States.
