Job Description:
Portland Bolt is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse functions by coordinating the shipping, receiving, and storage activities of the warehouse.
This is a Full-Time, in person position with the hours of 7:00am-3:30pm Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prioritize orders for the day and coordinate with warehouses/machine shop for material transfers.
Negotiate rates/discounts with freight companies.
File and follow up on claims with freight companies for damaged shipments.
Prepare shipping documents and arrange pickups with trucking companies.
Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
Coordinate any necessary after-hours shipping/receiving in case of early/late truck arrival.
Ensure basic maintenance standards (scale calibration, forklift service, etc).
Check orders for accuracy.
Coordinate and oversee inventory cycle counts throughout the year.
Maintain records and files for relevant warehouse functions.
Ensure the warehouse is in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Perform a daily inspection of the warehouse.
Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers.
Ensure efficient processes and alter as needed to maximize productivity.
Maintain and enhance a team environment and motivate production staff.
Experience:
Warehouse supervisor experience: 2+ years.
Salary: Starting at $ 60,000 per year, depending on experience.
