POSITION TITLE: Warehouse Manager
PAY STATUS: Non-exempt
SUPERVISES: N/A
PAY RANGE: $52,000- $56,000
General Responsibility:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our warehouse facility dedicated to commercial floor design, installation, and care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the seamless flow of materials to support our projects. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders in the commercial flooring industry.
Significant Duties:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for all flooring materials and related supplies.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize loss, damage, or theft.
Logistics Coordination:
Collaborate with suppliers, freight carriers, and other vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project timelines.
Optimize transportation routes and methods to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with specifications.
Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure the highest standards in flooring materials.
Collaboration with Design and Installation Teams:
Work closely with the design and installation teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
Coordinate the availability of materials and tools to support project schedules.
Facility Maintenance:
Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Manage equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
Team Leadership:
Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure a cohesive and productive team.
Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills of warehouse personnel.
Cost Management:
Monitor and control warehouse operational costs, including labor, utilities, and equipment maintenance.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the flooring or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics processes.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with commercial flooring materials and installation processes is a plus.
