Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our distribution center operations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily warehouse activities, including staff supervision, inventory management, shipping/receiving, and process optimization. This role requires exceptional leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations:
Oversee daily warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management to ensure seamless operations.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Collaborate with internal departments to support operational requests and fulfillment needs.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs. This includes supplies, services, and maintenance of the department.
Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
Replenish shipping supplies as needed.
Assist warehouse tenants with loading, unloading, and storage of their shipments.
Maintain warehouse documentation and records using cloud-based systems (Teams/OneDrive).
Team Leadership & Management:
Supervise warehouse staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations to maximize productivity.
Manage employee recruitment through staffing agency partnerships and oversee payroll approvals.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee supplier invoices and freight receipts to ensure proper payment procedures.
Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and department leads.
Lead workplace training initiatives to enhance employee performance and skill development.
Take on additional responsibilities as required to support company objectives.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce workplace safety policies.
Implement and monitor safety programs to reduce accidents, injuries, and the damage to products.
Conduct safety audits and employee training on warehouse safety protocols.
Oversee the maintenance and proper usage of warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
Requirements
Proven experience as a warehouse manager or in a supervisory role within a distribution center.
Strong expertise in logistics management, shipping/receiving processes, and inventory systems.
Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse machinery
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Physical capability to lift and move heavy items, as required.
Willingness to work across various warehouse functions, including order fulfillment and shipment handling.
Proficient in databases, spreadsheets, and warehouse management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience with Sage 100 or Acumatica ERP systems.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office and StarShip shipping software.
Industry experience in bike or wheelchair distribution.
Certified in forklift operation.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in warehouse management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
