Overview
Warehouse Lead Jobs in Fort Worth, TX at Certified Simple Services INC.
About the Role
We’re an IT Asset Disposition company: businesses send us their retired IT equipment, and we audit it, test it, wipe it, and route it to resale, reuse, or responsible recycling. The Warehouse Lead is the person who owns that flow end to end — from the moment a pallet comes off the truck to the moment product ships back out the door.
This is a hands-on role for someone who likes accountability, keeps a clean and organized floor, and can be trusted to run the warehouse without being managed minute to minute. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply — the discipline, inventory accountability, and logistics experience from military service translate directly to this work.
What You’ll Do
Intake & Audit
Receive incoming shipments, verify counts against manifests, and document discrepancies
Serialize and record assets (make, model, serial, specs, condition) into inventory
Maintain chain-of-custody documentation on client equipment from receipt through final disposition
Flag damaged, missing, or unexpected items and escalate to management
Testing & Evaluation
Power on, test, and functionally verify desktops, laptops, servers, networking gear, and components
Grade equipment by condition and assign disposition: resale, parts harvest, or recycling
Diagnose common failures and determine whether a unit is worth repairing or parting out
Perform and verify data sanitization on drives and devices, and document the results
Disassemble units for component recovery and sort commodities by material type
Shipping & Receiving
Pick, pack, and stage outbound orders; build and wrap pallets for LTL freight
Generate labels, BOLs, and shipping paperwork for parcel and freight carriers
Schedule pickups and deliveries and coordinate with drivers and carriers
Inspect and confirm outbound shipments for accuracy before they leave
Purchasing & Supplies
Track consumables (boxes, pallets, wrap, labels, anti-static bags, testing supplies) and reorder before they run out
Source and compare vendors on price and lead time; place and follow up on purchase orders
Reconcile received supply orders against invoices and packing slips
Floor Operations
Keep the warehouse organized, safe, and audit-ready with clear staging zones
Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely
Train and direct warehouse staff or temporary help as the team grows
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
What We’re Looking For
Required
2+ years in warehouse operations, logistics, shipping/receiving, or IT hardware — or equivalent military experience
Working knowledge of computer hardware: able to identify components, build and tear down systems, and tell good gear from junk
Comfortable with inventory systems, spreadsheets, and documentation — this job is as much about accurate records as it is about moving boxes
Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
Detail-oriented and honest — you’ll handle client data-bearing equipment and high-value assets
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred
Military service, particularly in supply, logistics, communications, or electronic technicians.
Prior ITAD, e-waste, electronics refurbishment, or IT repair experience
CompTIA A+ or similar hardware certification
Forklift certification (or willingness to get certified)
Experience with freight carriers, LTL shipping, and BOL paperwork
Familiarity with data destruction standards and secure handling practices
Experience listing or selling refurbished equipment on resale channels
Who Succeeds Here
The right person is a self-starter who takes ownership of the space. You notice when supplies are running low before anyone asks. You don’t leave a pallet half-audited. You can switch between testing a stack of laptops, taking a delivery, and building an outbound shipment without losing track of where things stand. If you’ve been the person your unit or your crew relied on to keep things accounted for, you’ll recognize this job.
