Warehouse Associate II
Location: Kansas City, MO
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Employment Type: Full-Time
The Opportunity
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring the accurate movement of wheels, tires, and accessories throughout our distribution center. You’ll use warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and material handling equipment to support receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, and shipping operations while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
This position is ideal for someone with prior warehouse experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in accuracy, productivity, and delivering excellent service to our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Operate within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to process inventory transactions, movement requests, and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Receive, pick, pack, ship, and stage customer orders using RF scanners and established warehouse procedures.
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Verify inventory movements, bin locations, and shipping documentation.
- Prepare outbound shipments by palletizing, wrapping, and banding freight.
- Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, order selectors, and pallet jacks.
- Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards while meeting department KPIs.
- Assist with training new associates and provide support across warehouse functions as business needs require.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, equipment concerns, or safety issues to warehouse leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What’s in Your Toolbox?
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of warehouse or distribution center experience required.
- Experience using RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience creating Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts, cherry pickers/order pickers, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
This is an active warehouse role that requires:
- Standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching throughout the workday.
- Regularly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs (up to 100 lbs with assistance).
- Safely operating material handling equipment for extended periods.
- Working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise, dust, and occasional outdoor exposure.
- Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
- Availability to work scheduled shifts, overtime, and weekends as business needs require.
