The Distribution Manager oversees the efficient, timely, and accurate distribution of automotive parts and supplies through various shipping and delivery methods, including local delivery, LTL freight, parcel shipping, and brokered orders. This role involves managing logistics, negotiating carrier rates, maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring inventory accuracy, and facilitating safe and professional handling of parts for walk-in customers, returns, and warehouse operations. The Distribution Manager ensures compliance with internal guarantees, optimizes processes using tools like EZ Route and EZ Suite, and maintains clear communication across sales, support, and yard teams to meet customer and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage local delivery operations, optimizing routes and ensuring timely handling of parts, supplies, returns, and cores.
Negotiate shipping rates with carriers and third-party logistics providers for LTL freight and parcel services, maintaining current credit accounts and challenging incorrect invoices.
Oversee preparation and shipping of freight and parcels, ensuring safety, professionalism, and adherence to industry standards (e.g., NMFC codes).
Coordinate loading/unloading of large items for walk-in customers and facilitate efficient restocking or return of parts to inventory.
Manage brokered orders, verifying accuracy and ensuring prompt check-in and dispersion of parts.
Supervise yard pulls and warehouse operations (small and large parts), ensuring quick retrieval and accurate distribution.
Handle Team PRP freight orders, maintaining relationships with hub managers, processing returns, and documenting items with accurate photos and details.
Maintain logs, provide staff with necessary supplies and instructions, and ensure seamless communication between departments.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
