The Opportunity:
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all warehouse, inventory, transportation, and distribution activities to support the efficient operation of the manufacturing facility and meet customer expectations.
This role oversees the receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods while ensuring accurate inventory control, timely product distribution, and uninterrupted supply to production operations. The position is accountable for maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing aged and obsolete stock, coordinating freight and logistics activities, and developing metrics and reporting tools that support operational performance, customer service, and sales visibility.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse
· Direct, train, and support warehouse personnel to achieve productivity, quality, and customer service objectives.
· Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with company safety policies and operating procedures.
· Oversee the preparation, verification, and shipment of customer orders to ensure accurate and on-time delivery.
· Coordinate LTL, parcel, expedited, full truckload, warehouse transfer, and customer return (RGA) shipments.
· Ensure warehouse personnel properly select and stage products for shipment in accordance with established procedures.
· Verify shipping documentation is complete, accurate, and processed in a timely manner.
· Partner with Customer Service and Logistics to meet customer delivery requirements and service expectations.
· Manage the receipt, unloading, inspection, and storage of inbound materials, transfers, and customer returns.
· Ensure all inbound shipments are processed accurately and routed to the appropriate warehouse locations.
· Maintain warehouse location assignments and support efficient material flow throughout the facility.
· Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials.
· Ensure the timely movement of finished goods from production areas to designated warehouse locations.
Inventory Control
· Serve as the primary owner and central resource for inventory management across all warehouse locations.
· Monitor and manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels to support customer demand and production requirements.
· Utilize FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices to ensure proper stock rotation and minimize inventory write-offs.
· Maintain and optimize Min/Max inventory parameters to support inventory accuracy, service levels, and working capital objectives.
· Participate in and coordinate physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Management
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop warehouse and logistics teams by fostering a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement while driving operational performance and customer satisfaction.
· Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for warehouse and logistics personnel to ensure a high-performing and engaged team.
· Promote effective communication and collaboration between warehouse, production, customer service, purchasing, and sales teams.
· Resolve employee concerns and operational issues in a timely and professional manner while maintaining a positive work environment.
· Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
· Monitor daily workloads and allocate resources to meet shipping, receiving, and production support requirements.
Qualifications
· High School diploma required, Bachelors is a plus
· Proficient Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Dynamics 365 knowledge required
· Professional internal and external communication with stakeholders
· Prior Management experience
· Fluent Spanish preferred
· Ability to travel 0-10% of the time
Physical Demands
The employee must be able to communicate clearly with others and must be physically able to stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and kneel. The employee must be able to occasionally lift or move up to approximately 55 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision and color vision. Compensation Details: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00
