We have a fantastic opportunity for a Volunteer Car Driver to join our team. You will provide safe and reliable transportation for vulnerable patients to non-emergency medical appointments, offering reassurance and support during their journey.
No prior experience is required – just a caring attitude, a 4‑ or 5‑door car, a valid driving licence (no more than six penalty points) and some spare time. Flexible hours are available, from early morning to late evening, so you can volunteer when it fits your schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive patients to non‑emergency appointments and other vital hospital services.
- Assist passengers with access and support during travel.
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Build positive relationships within the community.
- Enjoy the autonomy of volunteering while receiving support from a dedicated team.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Friendly and empathetic demeanour.
- Access to a 4‑door or 5‑door car.
- Basic IT skills, such as using a smartphone.
