Position

As Vessel Operator, you are the essential link between our vessels and the office. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for various operational tasks and provide support to the Operations Department.

This position reports to the Global Head of Operations, Marine.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Follow up on operational requests, feasibility checks, and PDA requests from other departments.
  • Validate project costs and budgets in collaboration with the Commercial Department.
  • Review charter parties to determine responsibilities and liabilities, and coordinate these with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Appoint and evaluate local port agents, negotiate port charges, and approve FDAs.
  • Take ownership of accurate project control and financial project administration.

Your qualifications

  • Has completed a vocational degree in a relevant logistics or maritime field (such as Port Logistics or Port Operations Coordination).
  • Works independently and takes initiative.
  • Gets energy from having a high level of responsibility.
  • Has an affinity with vessels and heavy cargo.
  • Is a team player.
  • Is proactive and hands-on.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (both verbally and in writing).
  • Willingness to occasionally travel abroad.

Our selection process

The recruitment procedure will include two face-to-face interviews, possibly back-to-back. Your terms of employment and benefits package will be discussed at a subsequent meeting. We aim to finalize the entire process within four weeks.
