Patient Transportation Driver – Wheelchair Accessible Van. Based at Taylor Regional Hospital in Kentucky.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a wheelchair accessible transport van
- Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle safely
- Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices using proper safety equipment
- Provide safe, timely, and comfortable transportation for patients receiving non-emergency treatments and scheduled testing
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, medical staff, and team members
- Comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the TRH Fleet Safety Program
- Accurately maintain mileage logs, maintenance records, and fuel documentation
- Ensure assigned vehicle is routinely inspected, properly maintained, cleaned, refueled, and serviced at designated locations
- Comply with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
- Adhere to all traffic laws in accordance with Kentucky state regulations and maintain a valid Kentucky driver’s license
- Complete patient transport documentation accurately and collaborate with other drivers to ensure timely transportation
- Relay pertinent service and passenger information to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kentucky driver’s license
- 1-2+ years driving experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver wheelchairs and mobility equipment
- Frequent entering and exiting of vehicle
- Maintain accurate and concise documentation
- Adequate motor skills (vision, hearing)
- Ability to assist passengers safely during transport
- Clean driving and safety record
