Role Description The Van Driver is a full-time, remote role responsible for safely transporting goods between designated locations while following all traffic laws and company procedures. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading packages, verifying delivery information, maintaining accurate delivery records, and communicating with dispatch to coordinate routes and schedules. The Van Driver will use mobile or onboard technology to confirm deliveries, track routes, and report delays or issues. The role also involves performing basic vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring the van is kept clean and organized. This position requires consistent punctuality, strong customer service when interacting with recipients, and adherence to safety and security standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to operate a delivery van safely, with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Skills in route planning, time management, and basic use of GPS and mobile logistics applications.
- Capability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and loading packages within reasonable weight limits.
- Strong attention to detail for verifying addresses, documenting deliveries, and following procedures accurately.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with dispatch, customers, and team members in a professional manner.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote, field-based environment.
- Familiarity with basic vehicle checks and willingness to report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or transportation is preferred but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
