Job Description:
As a Trucking Operations/Dispatch Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation network. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of freight, managing communication between drivers and clients, and optimizing routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and coordinate truck dispatches to ensure timely deliveries.
Monitor and track shipments to provide real-time updates to customers and internal teams.
Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, routes, and any unforeseen issues.
Work closely with clients to address concerns and provide excellent customer service.
Optimize route planning to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and transportation activities.
Assist in resolving any operational challenges, such as delays or mechanical issues.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn dispatch software.
A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
