About the Role

Coolmore Truck Lines is currently in search of a trucking dispatcher to join our operations team as we scale to meet growing demand. You'll work closely with senior dispatchers and operations leadership to coordinate the movement of freight, drivers, and equipment, while learning the systems and processes that keep our operation running smoothly.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, calm under pressure, and energized by solving problems in real time.

What You'll Do

•     Coordinate and schedule routes, drivers, and/or equipment to ensure timely pickups and deliveries

•     Communicate proactively with drivers to relay instructions, updates, and resolve issues as they arise

•     Monitor active shipments/routes and flag delays or exceptions to senior dispatch staff

•     Accurately log trip details, delivery statuses, and incident reports in dispatch/TMS software

•     Support the documentation and refinement of dispatch processes and standard operating procedures

•     Assist with basic troubleshooting when schedule conflicts, driver availability issues, or last-minute changes occur

•     Escalate complex or high-stakes issues to senior dispatchers or the Operations Manager

•     Perform other duties as assigned to support the broader operations team

What You'll Need

•     High school diploma or GED required; some college or relevant certification a plus

•     2 plus years of experience in trucking dispatch

•     Proficiency with route planning or transportation management systems (TMS)

•     Strong verbal and written communication skills

•     Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment

•     Basic proficiency with computers; ability to learn new dispatch/TMS/scheduling software quickly

•     Strong attention to detail and follow-through

•     Ability to work assigned shifts, including potential early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
