Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- English language proficiency required due to federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
- Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening
- This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company
Physical Requirements
- Visual and hearing requirements; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Frequent movement; stand, walk, and sit
- Regular use of hands to touch, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) frequently and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
