Job Description:
The Work
You’ll handle intermodal container moves originating in the Mobile market, with lanes throughout:
- Alabama – Mobile, Montgomery, Birmingham, Huntsville, Dothan and surrounding markets
- Mississippi – Hattiesburg, Jackson, Laurel and Gulf Coast areas
- Florida – Pensacola, Milton and surrounding Northwest Florida markets
- Georgia – LaGrange, West Georgia and surrounding areas
- Louisiana – New Orleans and regional Gulf Coast freight
Shorter lanes may allow for multiple daily turns, while longer regional runs will typically be one turn per day.
Job Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL
- Owner Operator with your own reliable tractor
- Reliable equipment
- Intermodal / container experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate local and regional freight
- Comfortable running throughout Alabama and surrounding states

General Description of Benefits: HUDD Transportation is looking for experienced CDL-A Owner Operators for steady intermodal freight serving our Mobile operation.
Run a mix of local and regional freight throughout the Gulf Coast and Southeast, with daily volume based on the distance of the lanes you choose to run.
What You Can Expect
Approximately $2,500 average gross per week
Typically 1–2 turns per day, depending on lane distance
Mix of local and regional intermodal freight
Driver pay varies by lane and distance
