Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operation, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to manage freight logistics.
Duties
Operate and drive various types of trucks to deliver materials to designated locations.
Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual methods as required.
Ensure that all freight is secured properly for safe transport.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, traffic conditions, and any issues encountered on the road.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations while on duty.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by being courteous and professional.
Experience
Proven experience as a heavy-duty Truck Driver.
CDL not required, but a plus.
Must have a valid Driver’s License without any infractions.
Ability to lift 70lbs.
Experience in load unloading processes and handling freight efficiently.
Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving is essential.
Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and dispatch personnel.
