In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations. Your expertise in handling different types of cargo, including refrigerated goods and hazardous materials, will help keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. We are looking for energetic, safety-conscious drivers who thrive on adventure and take pride in delivering excellence on the road. This driving job primarily operates in the lower 48 states basic routes are to Florida, California, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers.
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely delivery while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Drive over the road (OTR) routes across long distances, maintaining a focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance with all traffic laws.
- Handle logistics cargo with precision, including freight documentation, load securing, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers and tractor-trailers used in various transportation sectors.
- Strong understanding of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous substances.
- Excellent navigation skills utilizing GPS systems to optimize routes for efficiency and timeliness.
- Adherence to FMCSA, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols during all phases of driving and cargo handling.

Pay: $0.35 – $0.50 per mile
