Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. THIS IS A NON CDL REQUIREMENT! The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. New/non-experienced drivers are welcome. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, freight handling, and the ability to load and unload cargo efficiently. The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting goods safely and on time while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
Operate and drive a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, box trucks and refrigerated trailers.
Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery while considering road conditions and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered on the road.
Adhere to all federal and state transportation regulations as well as company policies.
Requirements
Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of route driving principles.
Familiarity with operating lift gates is preferred for loading and unloading tasks.
Ability to operate automatic transmission vehicles
Experience with flatbed, tanker, or refrigerated trailer operations is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail for conducting vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate records.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to schedules.
Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading/unloading processes.
Valid Drivers License (doesn’t have to be CDL)
