Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting cargo and or general freight safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and the ability to manage various driving tasks, including loading and unloading cargo.
Responsibilities
Operate a box truck or other commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload cargo using a pallet jack or forklift, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and heavy lifting tasks.
Experience
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
Experience in route driving and knowledge of local roads is advantageous.
Previous experience in customer service roles is a plus, enhancing communication skills with clients.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is essential.
