Role Description The Truck Dispatcher – USA Trucking is a full-time, on-site role based in Lahore. The dispatcher will coordinate and schedule loads for trucks operating in the United States, communicate with drivers and brokers, and ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Daily responsibilities include monitoring routes, updating load statuses, handling rate confirmations, and managing any issues that arise during transit. The role also involves managing documentation related to lumper and detention pay, maintaining accurate records in dispatch systems, and providing clear instructions to drivers. The dispatcher will work closely with the operations team to meet service commitments, optimize truck utilization, and support safe and compliant operations.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with drivers, brokers, and internal teams.
- Solid organizational and time management skills to handle multiple loads, schedules, and documentation simultaneously.
- Ability to use dispatch software, spreadsheets, and other digital tools for tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Knowledge of basic U.S. trucking terminology, routes, and dispatch processes; prior experience in logistics or transportation is an advantage.
- Problem-solving skills to manage delays, route changes, and other operational challenges under time pressure.
- Attention to detail for accurate handling of paperwork, including lumper and detention pay, and maintaining compliant records.
- Comfort working in an on-site, fast-paced environment in Lahore, with flexibility for U.S. time zone coordination as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in logistics, supply chain, or business is a plus.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; ability to handle professional phone and email communication.
