CONTEXT: Our client, a midstream water services company, is searching for a bilingual Transportation Supervisor to supervise and coordinate activities related to the transportation of water.
The office is located in Jal, New Mexico, must be willing to commute on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities
Supervise and maintain fleet vehicles, ensuring they are in excellent working condition, properly serviced, and compliant with all safety regulations.
Review driver logs, hours of service, and other DOT requirements to ensure compliance with all state, local and federal regulations.
Coordinate activities with Managers to ensure that all needs are met in a timely manner.
Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Assist in developing and implementing the daily operating plan to include equipment maintenance and driver work schedules to meet needs.
This position has additional duties. Special projects may be assigned at the Managers discretion.
Requirements
Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Have at least 1 year of transportation management experience.
Be knowledgeable about DOT regulations.
Self-motivated and disciplined team player.
Be able to work a varied and flexible schedule.
Have basic competency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Must be bilingual.
