Job Description

As a critical contributor to the LD&T Team, the Traffic Supply Chain Leader (SCL) takes part in setting the agenda and executing the strategy of the Business Unit, and holds responsibility for all site Traffic operations. The Traffic SCL will also enable their teams to achieve the Business Unit expectations in our People, Quality, Service and Cost Key Performance Measures.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe and compliant operating environment

Quality Assurance: Oversee transportation operations to ensure service quality and On Time Delivery while addressing and resolving any operational issues

Cost Efficiency & Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, control operational costs, and identify opportunities for cost-saving while maintaining high service standards

Asset Strategy & Yard Management: Optimize asset utilization, maintain fleet efficiency, and manage yard operations to support smooth and effective workflows

Team Growth & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the transportation team to enhance performance, foster collaboration, and support career growth. The Traffic Supply Chain Leader will be leading a team of OTR drivers and dispatchs. Lead staffing and retention workstream (Driver onboarding 30/60/90 checkpoints and retention programs).

Strategic Growth Initiatives: Identify and implement strategies to improve processes, support business growth, and align transportation operations with organizational objectives

Qualifications

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

Demonstrated people and leadership skills with a record of achieving positive business results

Ability to give/receive constructive feedback

Ability be on call for off-shifts and weekends

Ability to travel to the Traffic Hub located in Moncton once per month (might be more often depending on the business needs)

Demonstrated commitment to team development and a strong team player

Results driven personality to drive KPIs (OTD, Service to Sales, Safety (IFR/CFR), Costs)

Great attention to detail

Customer service oriented

Excellent organizational ability and sense of urgency

Prior experience in Supply Chain (Traffic/Fleet, Warehouse/distribution)

Computer knowledge required (Microsoft Office: Word and Excel)

Comfortable with using and learning multiple systems (SAP, ETM, DPS, WMS, YMS, Geotab)

Takes initiative and proactively works to resolves issues
