POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Transportation & Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for scheduling shipments and delivery of products, while creating a positive experience for our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan shipments based on product availability, freight costs, and customer requests
Coordinate all shipments involving growers, vendors, customers, and between Millborn sites
Develop and maintain cordial relationships with vendors, retailers, and customers
Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping regulations
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
Resolve problems that may arise associated with transportation and customers
Schedule daily and weekly routines
Create & maintain relationships with qualified, preferred drivers and companies
Negotiate charges with vendors and suppliers
Communicate with customers and vendors for delivery and pickup appointments
Coordinate logistical timing within the organization
Ability to analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
Requirements:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational and time management skills
Maintain a high attention to detail while managing multiple tasks
Handle pressure in a progressive fast paced environment
Desire for accuracy and high level of urgency to ensure quality and timeliness are a top priority
Efficient computer skills
Possess good time management skills
