Full Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of freight and coordination of transportation activities. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in Transportation Management Systems, and the ability to effectively communicate with Customers, Drivers, and Co-Workers. $25.00 to $30.00/ hour depending on experience
Monday – Friday 7:00 – 4:00 or 8:00 – 5:00

Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule transportation activities for freight delivery, ensuring timely dispatching of shipments.
Utilize GPS technology and transportation management systems to track shipments and optimize routes.
Manage fleet operations, including monitoring vehicle performance and maintenance schedules.
Communicate effectively with drivers regarding pick-up and delivery instructions, addressing any issues that arise during transit.
Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including shipment details, delivery times, and driver logs.
Analyze logistical data to identify areas for improvement in dispatching processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in dispatching or logistics management is preferred.
Familiarity with GPS systems and Transportation Management Software.
Knowledge of fleet management practices and supply chain operations.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and reporting.
