Our client has an immediate opening for a full-time Transportation Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, flexible and ready for any assignment, and a good communicator. Your Responsibilities & Preferred Attributes:
Assist and support design teams in the execution of projects.
Provide technical support in various stages of the project, including preliminary design, final design, and contract documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to exercise responsible and ethical decision-making.
Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues during design.
Maintain positive team relationships.
Understanding and knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D software.
Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and criteria using sound judgment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university.
Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
0-3 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of INDOT standards, procedures, and specifications.
