The Opportunity
RS&H is currently seeking a Transportation/Civil Engineer II to join our Aviation Practice in Los Angeles, CA!

You will lead, develop, and deliver projects of varying sizes and complexity, initiate and maintain client contact, and assist the team in winning work.
Activities include the geometric design of runways, taxiways, and roadways; asphalt and concrete pavement design; stormwater and utility infrastructure design; coordination with airports, airlines, permitting agencies, and other tenants; and construction administration/management. The successful Transportation/Civil Engineer II applicant will work locally at RS&H’s Los Angeles office to perform design andproject managementactivities in support of airside and landside civil engineering projects.

Design of runways, taxiways, aprons, and roadways
Stormwater and utility infrastructure design
Pavement design and assessment
Aircraft parking layout and passenger boarding bridge modeling
Coordination with airports, airlines, FAA, and permitting agencies
Construction management and inspection
Adherence to company and project contractual requirements
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited ABET university
Experience with land development, roadway, or civil aviation design infrastructure
Minimum of 7 years of experience
California Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months required
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
