Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Transport Supervisor for Podar International School in Panaji, Goa. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience, suitable for a junior-level position. As a full-time role, you will contribute to the smooth operation and management of our transport services, ensuring safety and efficiency within our educational environment.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience in a transport supervisory or incharge role with at least 1 year in a similar position.
Strong understanding of vehicle management, fleet maintenance, and transportation operations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with drivers, staff, and management.
Ability to oversee scheduling, routing, and ensuring timely delivery of transport services.
Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Detail-oriented with a focus on safety regulations and compliance in transport services.
Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Must-have experience with transportation software and management tools is preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
Supervise daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient vehicle dispatch and returns.
Manage and oversee the maintenance and servicing schedules of our vehicle fleet.
Coordinate with educational staff, students, and drivers to ensure smooth transport operations.
Implement and monitor compliance with safety regulations and protocols at all times.
Conduct regular training and feedback sessions with drivers and transport staff.
Develop and optimize transportation routes to reduce fuel costs and improve efficiency.
Handle and resolve transport-related queries and issues promptly and effectively.
Report transport performance metrics and operational insights to higher management regularly.
