Job Summary:
Transport specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the outbound and inbound logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers. This role involves overseeing shipment planning, carrier management, and maintaining high service standards while optimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Planning and Coordination: Plan, schedule, and coordinate outbound shipments. Ensure timely dispatch of goods in accordance with customer requirements.
Carrier and Vendor Management: Select and manage transport carriers and third-party logistics providers. Negotiate shipping rates and service agreements.
Inventory and Order Management: Handle customer inquiries related to outbound logistics. Address shipping delays, product damage, and order discrepancies.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times and transportation costs. Prepare regular logistics performance reports.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline outbound logistics processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.
Skills: Strong knowledge of shipping procedures and regulations. Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Advanced knowledge of Excel. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong communication and customer service abilities.
Fluent in spoken and written English and Polish.
General knowledge of transport law.
Additional skills are welcome:
Languages: French, German.
Knowledge of ADR regulations.
Experience in creating processes and procedures, including H&S.
Knowledge of customs law.
