Why This Role Matters
As a Transport Planner, you will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and optimizing international transportation activities. You will ensure shipments are executed efficiently from request through delivery, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external logistics providers to deliver high service levels, cost efficiency, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements.
What You'll Do
- Plan and optimize transportation solutions by balancing business requirements, service levels, cost, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate end-to-end shipment execution, working closely with internal stakeholders, warehouses, hubs, ports, and transportation providers to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries.
- Monitor transport execution by tracking shipment milestones, identifying delays or disruptions, and proactively implementing solutions to minimize operational impact.
- Manage transport costs by executing shipment costing and ensuring compliance with freight contracts, procurement guidelines, and internal control policies.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, lane specifications, and other transportation and regulatory requirements.
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication, efficient coordination, and high-quality service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing transport performance and identifying opportunities to enhance planning, service quality, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or international operations; recent graduates with relevant internships are also encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of transport planning, shipment coordination, and freight operations is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, customer-focused, and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt and respond effectively to changing business needs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across international teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP or other Transportation Management/ERP systems is an advantage.
