NXT GIG is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Transport & Freight Coordinator to join our logistics team. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, liaising with carriers and vendors, and monitoring freight performance to optimize logistics operations. Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of transport and freight operations, including scheduling and route planning
Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations
Monitor shipment status and confirm timely delivery of goods
Evaluate and negotiate contracts with freight providers to secure competitive rates
Maintain accurate records of shipments, freight costs, and inventories using logistics management software
Resolve any issues related to transportation delays, damages, or discrepancies
Analyze transportation metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
Proven experience in transport and freight coordination or logistics management
Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Good negotiation skills and the ability to manage vendor relationships
Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
