Summary:
The Trainee Planner will be responsible for the efficient management of all planning activities both yard and vessel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To plan and distribute deliveries and collections for Terminal based drivers.
To plan and distribute deliveries and collections for any visiting driver from another Business Unit Terminal.
To make sure that all drivers are routed and achieve the maximum revenue/profit achievable.
Liaise with customers regarding pending and future transport requirements.
Check all customer documents to ensure cargo is ready to be dispatched; D/O, B/E.
Check the account status before undertaking any transportation.
Make sure that no delivery is undertaken without a valid delivery advice.
Ensure by liaising with the customer that no container incurs storage or detention charges.
Communicate and charge any additional costs incurred for the customer’s account.
Liaise with walk-in customers.
Review out-gate reports to identify possible new customers.
Liaise with accounts for cash customers.
Update and communicate daily KPI’s requested by management.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Educational Background
Diploma or equivalent.
Related Work Experience
Minimum 1 Year of experience in UAE.
Technical/Functional Competency
Basic knowledge of yard and transport planning.
Excellent Communication in English.
Good Customer Relations Skills.
Basic Computer Skills.
