Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and flatbed trucks, to transport goods to various locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records as required by law.
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving on highways and local roads.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or any issues encountered during transport.
Adhere to company policies regarding the use of manual transmission vehicles when required.
Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated (e.g., Tanker, Flatbed).
Proven experience in truck driving or delivery driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation.
Ability to operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, tankers, and dump trucks.
Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight transport.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining logs and records.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet delivery schedules.
