Responsibilities
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the candidate must be a dynamic individual with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. The traffic coordinator creates successful relationships with carriers, shipping personnel, customer service, and all other company employees. Knowledge of the shipping industry locally and/or internationally would be considered an asset.
- Negotiate freight rates with partner carriers;
- Coordinate shipments with Shippers and Consignees;
- Responsible for tracking and tracing shipments;
- Work with Sales and Customer Service on logistics-related tasks;
- Prepare freight-related reports as requested by Management
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Freight / Traffic;
- Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Some knowledge of Customs formalities;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Problem-solving and multitasking ability;
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of priority.
