Four Hands is one of the largest home furnishing distributors in Austin, TX. We operate out of seven locations with nearly 1,000,000 sqft of warehouse space. A role in our distribution center means being in the heart of getting products to our customers as quickly as possible.
As a Traffic Coordinator at Four Hands, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Working closely with the Traffic Lead, you’ll help ensure on-time shipments, optimize freight processes, and manage critical shipping documentation. In This Role
Support the Traffic Lead with day-to-day traffic duties including service-level agreements, transit times, carrier score cards, freight invoices, negotiating freight rates, etc.
Assist the Traffic Lead with daily, weekly and monthly reporting
Create shipping documentation including bills of lading, shipping labels, and export paperwork (NAFTA Certificates)
Coordinate routing of outgoing shipments through various customers and their logistics teams
Schedule transportation of shipments by working closely with the Traffic Lead to insure on-time shipments
Route and maintain truck schedules
Maintain shipment files and internal customer inquiries regarding the status of shipments
Report goals, operational procedures, objectives, and position responsibilities to shipping and traffic associates
Work closely with Sales and Operations Departments to insure transactional accuracy
Supervise accurate order, shipment, and export details to Customer Service

The Ideal Person
2+ years of warehouse or distribution center experience
High school diploma or GED required
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
Passionate advocate for continuous improvement and customer service
Self-directed individual who is able to work and stay organized with multiple responsibilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willing and able to work overtime as needed
Steel-toed boots or shoes are required during work hours
