Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a truck. This position requires a commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting freight across designated routes. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
Responsibilities
Operate and drive a flat bed truck
Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
Adhere to company policies regarding safety protocols and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of manual transmission operation.
Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations in the transportation industry.
Ability to work independently
Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality for deliveries.
