WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Be involved in and aware of all aspects of the day-to-day cement terminal operation.
Participate in the loading and unloading of cement products from railcars.
Coordinate activities with customer drivers and sales personnel.
Inspect railcars before loading.
Operate track mobile or car puller to move and position railcars in place for unloading or switching tracks.
Operate controls to convey proper cement to bulk silos or bulk trucks.
Responsible for ensuring customer orders are filled accurately. Promptly address customer concerns and refer more complex problems to supervisor for resolution.
Ensureshipping and receivingpaperwork is completed accurately and on a timely basis.
Responsible for the unloading and/or transfers of bulk material or cement products from railcars and/or trucks to silos.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on terminal equipment, some of which is on top of the silos being 100 feet tall. Perform regular housekeeping of the facility, grounds, work areas, and material disposals. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment problems to minimize downtime and ensure proper operation.
Execute routine and basic equipment inspections, checklists, and repair support.
Follow all safety policies, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment during loading and unloading.
Help promote safe work habits and a safework environmentalong with weekly safety meetings and job pre-work analysis.
Maintain vendor relationships.
Computer skills are preferred on systems such as CDM, SAP, and Microsoft Office Package. Track order receipts and material shipments using CDM software.
Other facility tasks as assigned, such as property general maintenance, security inspections, and facility-wide building & grounds routine maintenance.
HERE’S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or GED.
Understanding of basic safety compliance and OSHA rules.
Ability to perform physical routine tasks.
Ability to communicate with others and function in a team setting.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently.
Technical experience in a similarwork environmentor manufacturing facility is a plus.
Possess a basic understanding ofmaterial handlingprocesses and relative equipment.
External Candidates must have the ability to work in the US without sponsorship.
