Overview:
As a Team leader Ocean LLP, you’ll be responsible for the smooth and timely handling of all orders, while also leading and supporting your team. You’ll work closely to ensure customer satisfaction, compliance with procedures and efficient daily operations.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide the team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders
- Oversee documentation processes, including SOP updates and invoice handling
- Monitor compliance with KPI’s service agreements and operational procedures
- Maintain and update SOPs and work instructions for each customer account
- Identify and resolve operational issues, escalating where needed.
- Financial month closing checks
- Coach, mentor and support team members
- Identify and log quality issues, propose process improvements and implement agreed changes
- Participate in cross-training to cover for colleagues during absences or peak workload
- Facilitate regular team meetings in coordination with the Manager Operations
Job Requirements
- 3 – 5 years of experience in freight forwarding and good knowledge of logistics procedures documentation and relevant regulations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Proactive approach to process improvement
- Fluent in English and Dutch (both written and spoken)
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and service oriented attitude
- Proactive, adaptable and able to work under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop team members
