Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solo/Team/ OTR Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage loading and unloading tasks effectively. As a Solo Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities
Operate and drive various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and dump trucks, to transport freight to specified destinations.
Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
Navigate assigned routes while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during delivery.
Operate manual transmission vehicles as required for specific routes or loads.
Ensure the safe operation of refrigerated trailers when transporting temperature-sensitive goods.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with freight transportation.
Familiarity with logistics operations.
Experience with loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team when necessary.
